Borough President Scott Stringer
#1 Center Street
New York NY. 10007

Dear Borough President Stringer,

The Coalition to PS 109 was responsible for saving PS 109, located at 215 East 99th Street, from demolition in 1999.

We have worked hard to facilitate the full restoration of this now land marked building, since that time. The Coalition to Save PS 109 has no desire whatsoever to see the demolition of PS 109.

The Coalition to Save PS 109 would like to see not only the full restoration of this building but its' return to the community for use as public school in New York City public school system.

Restoration of PS 109 would provide more school space for the children of East Harlem, approximately 1200 additional seats.

The Coalition to Save PS 109 would like to have a meeting with you in the very near future to discuss the future of PS 109.

We would like to also include members of Community Education Council four as well as other organizations, like the New York City Landmarks Conservancy, who so generously gave of their time and money to keep PS 109 standing proud today.

We look forward to meeting with you soon.

Sincerely,
